PHOENIX, Ariz. – Those interested in rifle and pistol activities should mark their calendars for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) 2025 Western CMP Games, CMP Pistol and CMP Highpower (HP) Matches! The annual event is set for Oct. 16-23 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Arizona.
Western Games is open to any adult or junior with an interest in the sport – regardless of experience – and includes popular CMP vintage rifle events as well as pistol opportunities. Educational experiences are also held by trained instructors in the classroom and on the range, all suitable for both beginners and more advanced individuals.
NEW FOR 2025: The CMP will be adding six 20-shot, 1,000-yard Long Range matches! Competitors may fire in the Service Rifle, Match Rifle, F-Class, F T/R, AR Tactical or Palma Rifle categories.
The CMP will also offer highpower rifle matches, including 80 Shot competitions, a team match, Service Rifle EIC matches and a Mid-Range 3×600 Rifle event for Match Rifle, Service, F-Open, F T/R or AR Tactical rifles. All rifle matches will be held on CMP’s line of outdoor eTargets – recently featured at the 2025 National Matches at Camp Perry.
