Protect your rifle in transit with the new Rigby Expedition Case

Embark on your next hunting adventure with confidence, thanks to London gunmaker John Rigby & Co.’s new Rigby Expedition Case. Offering premium protection for your rifle during travel, this state-of-the-art guncase is crafted by Paua, a UK-based company using superior technology and innovative materials.

Constructed from thermally-moulded Paua Extreme and Paua Microcellular foam with a polypropylene lining, the Rigby Expedition Case offers unmatched strength, durability, and longevity. Paua Pro holds numerous patents relating to its materials technology, boasting an extensive IP portfolio with patents across global jurisdictions. This portfolio covers both material combinations within their suite of products and the polypropylene materials used.

The case’s moulded microcellular foam insert with blue flocking provides a secure fit for your rifle, safeguarding it against the rigors of the journey. Measuring 1,330 x 350 x 120mm, the case accommodates 25-inch barrels, making it suitable for almost all bolt action and double rifles. Inside, ample space is allocated for a scope, rifle bolt, and two accessory pockets, ensuring all essential gear is securely stowed.

Designed for the modern adventurer, the case features advanced security with a standard TSA combination lock, long shank padlocks, and metal padlock lugs, making it optimised for air travel. Its lightweight design, utilising Paua Extreme Composite material known for its dense weave and resistance to delamination, ensures durability without adding unnecessary weight. Paua’s superior impact resistance technology disperses energy through weaved tapes and high-performance inner foam, offering the upmost protection. Committed to sustainability, the case’s materials are 100% recyclable.

Marc Newton, managing director of Rigby commented: “Partnering with Paua to create the new and exclusive Rigby Expedition Case has allowed us to offer our customers a guncase that provides unparalleled protection for their rifles. This case is borderline indestructible; we’ve even driven over it with a 4×4 vehicle twice, and the rifle inside has remained unmarked. Whether traveling across continents or pursuing game in remote locations, the Rigby Expedition Case is designed to ensure your rifle arrives safely and ready for the adventure.”

£1,150, plus P&P.

This marks the exclusive launch of Paua Pro guncases worldwide. Paua Pro was nominated and announced as a finalist for the Composites and Materials Expo (CAMX) trade show’s CAMX Award last year in the USA, relating to the innovative cases.
