MIDWAYUSA FOUNDATION NAMES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESIDENT

Columbia, MO – MidwayUSA Foundation’s Board of Directors recently met in Columbia, Missouri, and appointed a new president and vice president.  Jon Zinnel will serve as President and replace longstanding President and former Executive Director, Dick Leeper.  As the Director of Community Relations for Federal Premium, Remington, Hevi-Shot and CCI Ammunition, Zinnel is a familiar face in the industry and is committed to the future of shooting sports.

“Jon Zinnel has a compelling record of supporting youth in the shooting sports.  His knowledge, experience, and passion make him well-suited to lead our board of directors as the new president.  And while I welcome Jon, I want to recognize our outgoing board president, Dick Leeper, who has skillfully led the board for over 10 years.  His insight and leadership have been invaluable,” said G. Scott Reynolds, Executive Director of MidwayUSA Foundation.

Zinnel has been on the Foundation’s board since 2021 but is looking forward to this new role. “I have seen the MidwayUSA Foundation from all angles; as a coach who started a team endowment, to a financial supporter, to leading state and national organizations to support their efforts to later supporting the board as a director. This next opportunity to lead the board is a true honor.”

In addition to appointing a new president, MidwayUSA Foundation also elected Nancy Bacon to hold the office of Vice President.  She currently serves as the VP of Southwick Associates, a leader in market research and economics in the hunting, shooting, sportfishing, and outdoor recreation world. Together, the two bring a very robust skill set to these leadership positions. Like Zinnel, Nancy is no stranger to MidwayUSA Foundation, serving as a board member since 2022.

The Foundation offers a variety of programs to fund youth shooting sports and allows donors or sponsors to direct their donations as they see fit.   In addition to over 2,600 youth shooting team endowments and over 80 organizational endowments, the Foundation has special purpose programs to enhance its mission, including Coach Training and Range Development endowments. MidwayUSA Foundation is proud of the leadership and knowledge the board members provide.  For a full list of those members visit https://www.midwayusafoundation.org/board-of-directors/.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to sustain and grow youth shooting sports by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Every donation made is tax-deductible and allows the Foundation to assist in expanding and enhancing the leadership skills, confidence, and discipline of today’s youth through shooting sports activities. The Foundation supports all shooting disciplines.
