Melissa Bachman Announced as Keynote Speaker at Boone and Crockett Club’s 32nd Big Game Awards

Missoula, MT – [July 2, 2025]— The Boone and Crockett Club is excited to announce that Melissa Bachman, renowned hunter, conservationist, and television host, is the keynote speaker at the Buck Buckner 32nd Big Game Awards Reception and Banquet. This triennial event will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, Missouri. This banquet, sponsored by the Wild Sheep Foundation, features the presentation of awards to trophy owners for the exceptional invited trophies on display. Tickets are available on the Boone and Crockett Club website.

Known for her passionate advocacy for ethical hunting and wildlife conservation, Melissa Bachman is the host of the popular television series Winchester Deadly Passion currently airing on Sportsman Channel. Through her extensive fieldwork and storytelling, she has inspired countless outdoor enthusiasts to embrace responsible hunting practices while highlighting the critical role hunters play in conservation initiatives.

“Melissa Bachman’s dedication to ethical hunting and her unwavering commitment to preserving our natural resources make her a perfect addition to the Big Game Awards celebration,” said Tony A. Schoonen, CEO of the Boone and Crockett Club. “Her work resonates with our values of fair chase hunting and wildlife stewardship, and we’re honored to have her join us as we celebrate the pinnacle of North America’s big game and conservation achievements.”

The Boone and Crockett Club has been measuring the antlers, horns, and skulls of North American big game since 1895 with the original vision of creating a record of what was thought to be the vanishing wildlife in the country. The organization’s Records of North American Big Game was first published in 1932 and, now in its 15th edition, serves as a vital record of biological, harvest, and location data on hunter-taken and found big game species based on the principle that the existence of mature, male specimens is an indicator of overall population and habitat health.

Event Highlights and Sponsors:

World-Class Wildlife Display: The public display of these exceptional mounts is open in the Bucks and Bulls Hall within the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and will only be exhibited all together until July 27. Several organizations have sponsored these displays, including Leupold & Stevens, Wild Sheep Foundation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Mule Deer Foundation, the Robert M. Lee Foundation, Fiocchi, Safari Club International, and Dallas Safari Club.

Recognition Events & Gala Banquet: Over the course of three days, attendees will enjoy luncheons, a Welcome Reception sponsored by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, the Jack Steele Parker Generation Next Youth Awards sponsored by Buck Knives, all culminating in the prestigious Buck Buckner Big Game Awards banquet on Saturday, July 26, sponsored by the Wild Sheep Foundation.

Awards and Honors: Awards will be given out during the two evening banquets, including the Hunt Fair Chase Award, sponsored by Fiocchi, and the Glenn St. Charles Memorial Award, sponsored by Pope & Young Club.

The 32nd Big Game Awards display is open now at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium and will remain available until the conclusion of the Big Game Awards events on July 26th. Attendees are encouraged to explore all the family-friendly offerings near Springfield, Missouri, including outdoor activities at Big Cedar Lodge and Top of the Rock.
