Introducing the Wildcat Ultralight DC – The Definitive Lightweight Hunting Crossbow

Tarpon Springs, FL (January 8th, 2026) – Barnett® proudly introduces the next evolution of its bestselling platform: the Wildcat Ultralight DC. This crossbow redefines lightweight hunting by combining the proven reliability and performance of the legendary Wildcat series with a new and loaded design. Engineered for speed, safety, and effortless handling, the Wildcat Ultralight DC is the ultimate tool for hunters who demand agile performance without sacrificing power.

The Wildcat Ultralight DC is built on a foundation of trusted performance, now enhanced with upgraded functionality. It launches 20-inch bolts at a commanding 410 feet per second, generating 142 ft-lbs of kinetic energy to ensure deep, ethical penetration. Its compact, rugged frame is engineered for the field, featuring a single-bolt assembly for quick setup and a narrow 6.75-inch axle-to-axle width when cocked for superior maneuverability in tight blinds and treestands. The Wildcat Ultralight DC is available with either a Rope Cocking Device or Crank Cocking Device. The crossbow’s design prioritizes shooter control and customization, featuring three Picatinny accessory rails for mounting essential gear and a pass-through foregrip with integrated finger reminders for a secure, consistent hold.

Safety and smooth operation are at the core of the Wildcat Ultralight DC. It is equipped with a de-cocking system compatible with the optional Wildcat Crank Cocking Device, allowing for a safe, controlled, and effortless return to an uncocked state. The crossbow also features a crisp, reliable Metal Injection Molded (MIM) Trigger safeguarded by an Anti-Dry Fire (ADF) system. For enhanced accuracy and shot consistency, it includes the Soft-Lok™ Floating Bristle Arrow Retainer and comes with pre-installed limb and string dampeners to minimize vibration and noise. The convenient fold-away foot stirrup ensures a stable cocking platform that stows neatly for transport. Finished in versatile Barnett Brown & Tan Camouflage, the Wildcat Ultralight DC is as stealthy as it is powerful.
