Five state records set at state NASP event

Several state records were broken during the 20th annual National Archery in the Schools Program state tournament on March 21 in Lincoln.

During the competition at the Sandhills Global Events Center, in which 38 Nebraska schools competed, two individual records were set.

Aiden Jedlecki of Bellevue Cornerstone Christian scored 293 of a possible 300 points for the boys’ high score in the bull’s-eye competition. Camdon Roker of Lincoln Standing Bear High set a new boys’ 3D mark with 291 points.

Three team records were set. Milford set the high school team 3D record with 1,660 points, Lincoln Pound set the middle school team bull’s-eye mark with 3,217 points, and Omaha Mater Dei Academy set the elementary school team bull’s-eye record with 2,822 points.

NASP is an in-school curriculum covering target archery for students in grades 4-12. The state tournament is the largest archery event in Nebraska.
