Fishing With Heart: Their Life, My Lens Returns for Season 4

Irving, Texas (June 4, 2025) – Outdoor America, the network for people passionate about outdoor sports and recreation, is proud to announce that Their Life, My Lens, hosted by Chasten Whitfield, will return for its fourth fantastic season on the network.

Whitfield fishes her local waters in the successful outdoors program, shares stories of courageous and inspiring people, teaches new fishing techniques, and promotes responsible behavior.

Whitfield works to help differently abled guests forget their troubles by sharing the joys of fishing with children, teens, and adults from around Florida. Whitfield uses fishing to help give them a day to put all their worries away, whether it’s doctor’s appointments, surgeries, medications, or physical therapy, while assisting them to do what is right in life.

“We are proud to continue to be the broadcast home for Chasten’s amazing program,” said Jamie Wilkinson, Executive Vice President of Outdoor America. “Fishing is the backdrop, but the heart of this family-friendly, inspirational show lies in telling the stories of everyday people overcoming adversity. It’s a program for outdoor lovers and fans of real-life resilience.”

The opening episode of the season, Walking Into The Impossible, follows Roland as he catches his first inshore slam, sharing the message that while life isn’t easy, the struggle can be beautiful. Episode two, Hook, Line and Little Legends, sees Brody, who has Down syndrome, and Chasten fish together, catching various species while sharing the message that passion and positivity can defy expectations. The third episode, From Tournaments to Trials, tells the story of Mikayla’s upheaval in life and her rediscovery of what truly matters while fishing in Hawks Kay, Florida.

Whitfield was bullied in seventh grade for being the only girl in her school who enjoyed the pastime of fishing. But with encouragement from her mother, she entered and took first place in a fishing tournament and has been hooked on angling ever since. Through the sport of fishing, she had the opportunity to show her abilities, not her disabilities, and launched Their Life, My Lens on television in 2022.
