ANOKA, Minnesota – August 12, 2025 – Federal Ammunition congratulates Derrick Mein on winning the 5-Stand event at the North Central Regional held at Game Unlimited in Hudson, WI, presented by Federal Ammunition. The event, held August 5-10, drew 700 of the best NSCA competitors over the week that had its share of weather challenges, including wind and torrential rains.
In the 5-Stand event, Mein shot an impressive 97 out of 100 on an extremely challenging course design. The two-time Olympian won the event High Over All by one target over a strong field of more than 400 shooters, and it came down to some clutch shot making. “I had to run the last layout to win, and by far it was the toughest of the four layouts,” said Mein. “The tournament ran really well, Game Unlimited has great facilities, and they did a great job setting all the targets.”
Besides his win at the 5-Stand event, Mein also finished Runner-Up in the Prelim Event over another strong field of nearly 400 competitors.
