Burris Optics New Rapid Engagement Design (R.E.D.)

Burris Optics New Rapid Engagement Design (R.E.D.)

GREELEY, CO — Burris Optics announces the brand-wide introduction of its Rapid Engagement Design (R.E.D.) — a bold identifier that lets shooters know they’re holding the most advanced, capable, and feature-rich optics Burris has ever produced.

When you see red, you know you’re running the best.

The Burris Rapid Engagement Design is more than a cosmetic update — it’s a promise. Scopes that wear the R.E.D. ring are engineered with Burris’ latest optical and industrial designs to deliver optical excellence and rugged reliability.

A major highlight of R.E.D. optics is the aggressive knurling along the power ring, turrets, and turret caps. Gloved hands demand a high-traction interface with a scope’s operational controls, and R.E.D. delivers with a sure grip and positive rotation, providing smooth, intuitive adjustments under fast-changing conditions.

Every scope with the Burris R.E.D. carries Burris’ hallmark durability: a single-piece aluminum housing, metal-on-metal internal components, and a double-spring turret system, all built to handle brutal recoil and unforgiving terrain. Shooters can also choose from a wide selection of illuminated and non-illuminated reticles tailored for hunting, competition, and tactical applications.

“The Burris Rapid Engagement Design is a visual cue that tells shooters they’re getting the latest Burris engineering, ruggedness, and innovation in one package,” said Hal Woo, Burris Product Development Project Manager. “If it wears the red ring, it’s built to outperform.”
