Buck Knives, Davidson’s Inc. and Silencer Shop Featured on The Connecting with Conservation Podcast

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – March 18, 2025 – Knife, firearm and suppressor enthusiasts will want to tune into recent episodes of The Connecting with Conservation (CWC) Podcast as co-hosts Jon Gassett of Wildlife Management Institute and Jim Curcuruto of Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation chat with CJ Buck of Buck Knives, Dave Matheny of Silencer Shop and Kevin Wilson of Davidson’s Inc. / Gallery of Guns.

The CWC Podcast features guests from state fish and wildlife agencies, outdoor media, conservation organizations and outdoor-related industry companies. Guests share stories about how they, and their organizations, support land, fish and wildlife conservation in America.

Davidson’s Inc. / Gallery of Guns: Kevin Wilson, Dealer Communications Manager (Season 2 Episode 4):  Wilson shares what’s hot in the firearms market, how Davidson’s exclusive firearms came about and how it supports conservation. Wilson said, “it is great to hear stories about how gun owners and the firearms industry are primary funders of conservation, and we look forward to supporting conservation efforts any way we can.”

Silencer Shop: Dave Matheny, Founder and CEO (Season 2 Episode 6): Tune into this episode to hear about the tremendous growth in the suppressor market and learn the steps to acquire suppressors. Also, learn how Matheny became interested in silencers through his work with the Texas Youth Hunting Program and how Silencer Shop supports conservation efforts. Matheny said, “Silencer Shop appreciates the hard work agencies and nonprofits are doing to support wildlife conservation efforts across the country.”

Buck Knives: CJ Buck, CEO (Season 2 Episode 11): In business since 1902, CJ Buck is the fourth generation of the Buck family to lead the company.
