“Backwoods Life” TV Celebrates 20 Years of Unforgettable Adventures on Sportsman Channel

DENVER (September 12, 2024) – Marking an impressive milestone in outdoor television, Backwoods Life celebrates its 20th Anniversary this season on the Sportsman Channel. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Michael Lee and Kevin Knighton, the show, which airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET, has captivated audiences since 2004 with its authentic portrayal of hunting adventures across the United States and beyond.

For two decades, Lee and Knighton have invited viewers into their world, sharing not only the thrill of the chase but also the camaraderie and passion that define the hunting lifestyle. From bowhunting whitetails in the dense forests of Ohio to tracking turkeys across the plains of Texas, their exploits have brought the essence of the backwoods to life on screen.

“What sets Backwoods Life apart is its hosts’ genuine, down-to-earth nature. Lee and Knighton are not just expert hunters; they are relatable figures who embody the true spirit of outdoor enthusiasts,” shared Tim Cremin, Head of Programming at OSG.

Lee grew up in the woods and on the water of the Flint River in South Georgia. From a young age, he learned to appreciate the outdoors and was taught to hunt and fish by his father and grandfathers. Knighton was born and raised in the backwoods of rural Florida, where he still lives today. Taught early on how to hunt deer in the swamps by his dad and family, he learned how to hone his skills for hunting across the country. Kevin produces the show and has been the force behind top-quality production in the Backwoods Life camp.

Their commitment to authenticity and their ability to connect with audiences have turned their series into a staple of outdoor programming, inspiring viewers to embrace their own adventures in the wild.

Tune in to Sportsman Channel of Backwoods Life airing Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET for the latest season and be part of the continuing adventure. Here’s to many more years of unforgettable stories and cherished memories in the backwoods!
