ATA Impact Award Winners Announced at the2025 ATA Industry Celebration Event

NEW ULM, MN — The Archery Trade Association is pleased to announce Colin Berg and M.J. Rogers as the 2025 ATA Impact Award winners. Recipients of this prestigious award were announced on Jan. 8 during the 2025 ATA Industry Celebration event, presented by Mossy Oak, for using their voice and/or platform to inspire others to enjoy and participate in archery and bowhunting.

“We’re excited to announce these outstanding individuals as this year’s award recipients for the immense impact they’ve had on the industry and the sport of archery,” said Jeff Poole, ATA president and CEO.

ATA’s Impact Award Recipients:

Colin Berg | Morrell and Archers
Berg spent 32 years with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), including 26 years as education supervisor. During his tenure, more than 500,000 Oklahomans participated in ODWC-led introductory fishing programs, 260,000 hunters completed hunter education and over 500,000 students took part in ODWC-led school programs. These programs included NASP, Explore Bowhunting, Explore Bowfishing, Scholastic Shooting Sports, the FFA Clay Target Program, Hunter Education in Schools, Oklahoma Fishing in Schools and Archers Varsity Archery.

Berg currently serves as the National Youth Development director for Morrell and Archers. He maintains ties with ODWC as a contract grant writer and fundraiser, recently securing a $250,000 grant for ODWC from the Easton Foundation.

M.J. Rogers | Archery Resources Center
Rogers has served as an archery coach for 30 years, while traveling extensively throughout the world. In addition to his global travels, Rogers coached at the Olympic level and the Paralympic Games in 2012, 2016 and 2020, leading Team USA to six World Field Championships and one World Indoor Championship.

Rogers’ advocacy for archery has taken him to South America, Asia and Europe, where he has taught and promoted the sport. He also helped launch the National Archery in Schools Program in five states. In his coaching and advocacy efforts, Rogers has prioritized working with both able-bodied and challenged athletes.

Through his work with Paralympic athletes, Rogers coauthored an Adaptive Archery Manual, underwritten by Disabled Sports USA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which has been distributed worldwide.

The ATA Awards Program was created in 2020 to recognize individuals and companies that make significant contributions to the future of archery.
