Arctic Cat Racers Continue Successful Charge

(THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN March 10, 2026) – Team Arctic racers across North America spent another weekend successfully bounding over jumps, carving tight lines, scaling steep inclines and more, all in the pursuit of more excellence in racing and snowmobile development.

A huge crowd was on hand at the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross event in Elk River, Minnesota, to see Arctic Cat racers battle a challenging track – and challenging weather conditions. In the Pro class, Daniel Benham continued to run toward the front, including gathering another podium finish Saturday. In the Pro Lite class, the Team Arctic racer to watch was Benham’s Frattalone Racing teammate Eric Downs. He won all four of his heat races over the weekend and finished second in both Pro Lite finals. Downs’ recent surge has him just six points out of second place in the season points standings.

Michigan native Tyler Oomen continued his incredible run in the Pro Am Plus 30 class. He won three of four heat races on his Arctic Cat ZR 600 R-SX and collected one second and one third in the finals. That makes Oomen 10 for 10 this season with podium finishes in the highly competitive class and puts him solidly second in points – and gaining on the leader! Other ISOC Team Arctic podium finishes were delivered by Sullivan Bergman (Transition 8-10 class), Isaac Otto (Transition 9-13), Mason Broden (Jr. 14-15), Vivian Yager (Jr. Girls 9-13) and Arlan Kenyon (Jr. 10-13).

More Team Arctic success was on display at the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association (CSRA) event in Timmins, Ontario. Team Arctic’s Nathan Poirier was unstoppable both days – winning all four times he took his Arctic Cat to the track in Pro Lite. Each day, fellow Arctic Cat racer Wynston Roes finished a very solid second behind Poirier. Tyler Billings earned a victory and a second-place finish in the Pro-Am Vet class, while Cameron Watchler claimed a podium finish in the Pro class on Sunday. Other Arctic Cat victories were earned by Rene Chartrand and Jacob Yarek.

In cross-country racing, the Cor Powersports circuit hosted another laketop race, where Team Arctic’s Aiden Johnson won the Semi-Pro Factory class and Erik Nymann earned two victories in the Trail classes. Brayden and Kynsie Diesen continued to mop up victories in the Expert 600 and Junior 14-17 class.

Out West, Team Arctic racers Tim Maki, Aaron Tapio and Ryder McMillen were putting on a clinic in the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) event in Fairfield, Idaho. The veteran Maki set the fast time on the hill in Pro Senior Stock, Pro Senior Improved, Pro Senior Modified and Pro Masters Improved, plus a second-place finish Pro Masters Stock. As usual, the British Columbia-based Tapio family filled the RMSHA results sheet, with Aaron Tapio earning three podium finishes in Semi Pro while Kyle Tapio raced to two podiums in Pro Masters. Ryder McMillan starred in the Amateur class on Arctic Cats, earning two firsts and one second, while Calvin Irmen (Pro Mod 600) and Tiffany McWilliams (Women’s Improved Stock) earned podiums of their own.

“Team Arctic is staying on the gas, literally and figuratively,” said Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety. “This is a crazy and exciting time of the season, many points championships on the line, the manufactures are releasing their new sleds for 2027 and Team Arctic is proudly flying the colors for Arctic Cat employees, dealers and fans. These next few weekends will see many circuits wrap up their seasons, and plans for next year will already be started.”

There’s still time to check out and cheer on Team Arctic racers yet this season – and time to get in your order on a dynamic 2027 Arctic Cat snowmobile during the Spring Guarantee program, which ends on March 23.
