Paris, France—a 52-year streak of success continues, with competitors shooting Easton arrows capturing 30 of 30 medals awarded in the intense archery competition in the Paris Summer Games.
Easton shooters have won every title since archery’s return to the Games in 1972 and the venerable X10 has been used to win every title since its introduction in 1996. With an epic finals battle for the men’s Gold Medal, USA’s Brady Ellison and Korea’s Kim, Woo-jin battled to the last millimeter, with both shooting a perfect 10 score in a tension-filled shoot-off. In the end, Kim won by a matter of only 4 millimeters, with Ellison taking silver. Korea’s Lee, Woo-seok took the men’s bronze. America’s Brady Ellison and Casey Kaufhold took the mixed team bronze medal giving the USA their first women’s medal since 1988.
Archers from Korea, China, Mexico, Germany and France took all the remaining medals with the made-in-USA Easton X10—the most winning arrow shaft in history.
