AGLOW Reminds Members Awards-in-Craft Submissions (AIC) Are Open, Invites New Members to Join and Apply

Lincoln, Neb. (June 29, 2025) — The Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers (AGLOW) announced that submissions for the 2025 Awards-in-Craft (AIC) competition are open for dues-paid, active media members. Works completed and published between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, are eligible in newspaper, magazine, photography, broadcast and electronic media, TV/Video/Webcast/Vlog, Radio/Podcast, Electronic Blog, Book, Public Speaking, and Publishing. Contest rules and submission requirement details can be found on the new AGLOW website, https://aglowoutdoors.com/2025-awards-in-craft/ or by Clicking Here.

The Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers is a national nonprofit organization for outdoor content creators founded in 1956. AGLOW celebrates media, tourism and destinations, along with corporate partners that collectively play a role in sharing the outdoors with others. AGLOW offers professional development, networking, media camps and conferences, as well as recognition through the Awards-in-Craft platform. The Awards-in-Craft ceremony at each year’s annual banquet is when winners are announced for the year. This year’s winners will be recognized on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the 2025 AGLOW Conference in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

“Recognizing the exceptional talents of our members is an annual highlight within AGLOW and our membership,” said AGLOW Vice President Joe Henry. “For some members, a big reason they joined AGLOW was to compete for awards each year. The distinction of being the best among your peers is a high achievement. Earning an AGLOW Award as an outdoor communicator is prestigious and helps strengthen one’s resume. It can also make a winner a sought after communicator within their respective communications medium.”

If you’re an outdoor communicator creating content within newspaper, magazines, books, publishing, broadcast and electronic media, TV, Video, Webcasts, or Vlogs, radio or podcasts, electronic blogs, photography, or public speaking, come join your tribe of outdoor-loving members with similar passion! It’s not too late to join AGLOW and submit for AIC. Active media members have until midnight on Monday, July 7, 2025, to submit their AIC entries. If you are not an active member of AGLOW but wish to join and submit for AIC, please visit https://aglowoutdoors.com to become a member.
