Delta Waterfowl Names New Senior Director of Industry Partnerships

Chris Williams brings 15 years of events fundraising experience to his new role

BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Chris Williams has been promoted to senior director of industry partnerships for Delta Waterfowl.

In his new role, Williams will work to develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with valuable outdoor business partners who support Delta’s waterfowl conservation programs. He will also assist industry partners to promote their products in Delta’s award-winning magazine and through other Delta dynamic media opportunities. In addition, Williams will head up Delta’s Duck Hunters Expo, a marquee event slated for July 25-27 in Oklahoma City.

“Chris Williams has a long history of successfully working with waterfowl industry partners in support of Delta’s mission,” said Jason Tharpe, chief executive officer of Delta Waterfowl. “He has great passion for waterfowl conservation and is a staunch advocate for hunter recruitment and access.”

A North Carolina native, military veteran, and avid waterfowl hunter, Williams began working for Delta Waterfowl in 2010 as the organization’s regional events director for the Atlantic Flyway. He was previously promoted to a leadership role as director of events for the Atlantic Team.

“I am excited for this new challenge and look forward to stewarding long-lasting relationships throughout the waterfowl hunting community,” Williams said. “For the past 15 years, I have had the opportunity to see so much growth and resilience at Delta Waterfowl. I hold great admiration for the Event Fundraising Team, including the staff in Bismarck and across North America. My time at Delta to date has been filled with many wonderful memories, relationships with volunteers, and countless supporters who I am blessed to call ‘family’ every day. In my new role, that will not change. It will be the backbone of how we continue to promote The Duck Hunters Organization with our industry partners and supporters.”

Williams lives in Princeton, North Carolina, with his wife Amanda and sons Carson, Garrett, and Wyatt. The family has two black Labs, Pete and Polly. When Williams isn’t hunting his beloved diving ducks or attending a Delta Waterfowl event, you’ll find him entertaining friends and family or enjoying seasonal outdoor activities.
