First Look: QD Suppressors From Maxim Defense

Maxim Defense has just launched a new suppressor and flash-hider system with three different suppressor models that work in tandem with Maxim Defense flash hiders for easy and convenient QD (Quick Detach) capabilities. The idea is to provide customers with a method that easily uses the same multi-caliber silencer across various firearms to avoid the hassle and extra regulation of having to buy multiple devices. These three newly launched models—the DSX, DS and DS-K—rest under Maxim Defense’s established MSX Suppressor product family. The proprietary flash hider included in the system is designed to not only provide a convenient and tool-less mounting method, but the flash hider also works well with modern sporting rifles on its own.

The new suppressors are safe to use with UTM training munitions and Maxim Defense manufactures them so they stand up to the rigorous testing, endurance and destructive requirements set forth by SOCOM to ensure they can be used in extreme and austere conditions. Maxim Defense also uses a CR-DLC (diamond like coating) on these new suppressors in order to make them more resistant to wear, heat and carbon build up. Besides convenience, it promotes long-term reliability and durability as well.

“We could not be more excited about this new suppressor and flash hider system,” said David Farrell, Vice President of Commercial Sales, Maxim Defense. “The QD is the only quick detachable suppressor system on the market that is fully serviceable and maintainable, giving it a long lifespan and better performance.”

The new Maxim Defense QD Suppressor System has a starting retail price of $1,150 and ranges up to $1,550. To learn more about these new products and the firearms, accessories and other suppressor-related items offered by Maxim Defense, visit maximdefense.com.
