A man has been shot by police after stabbing multiple people inside an Illinois Toyota car dealership.
The assailant knifed at least one employee and attacked multiple other people inside the Brian Bemis Toyota dealership on Sycamore Road.
Police in DeKalb County repeatedly ordered the assailant to put down the knife, and opened fire when he refused.
City Manager Bill Nicklas said while multiple staff suffered stab wounds, none of the injuries were life threatening.
‘DeKalb police responded to a call where a person was wielding a knife and stabbing employees,’ Nicklas told the Daily Chronicle in DeKalb County.
Motive is pretty unclear. Usually spree stabbings in this country are either jihadi in nature, or mental illness (but I repeat myself). If I hear more I will pass it along.
