KnifeNews: Jack Wolf Benny’s Clip is Back with New Variations

The latest batch of Jack Wolf Knives Benny’s Clip is landing today. This time around the releases includes an exclusive variation and the debut of a new, cost-conscious series from the modern traditional company.

Traditional knife historians will know from both the name and the design that the Benny’s Clip is Jack Wolf founder Ben Belkin’s tribute to the Lanny’s Clip, a famous 20th century pattern created by Tony Bose. Belkin says that, as a traditional knife fiend, the look of the Lanny’s Clip is what led him to create his own take on it. “It is the aesthetics of the design.  It is a jaw dropper and instantly recognizable!” Indeed, the Lanny’s Clip can claim what few other 20th century knives can, having entered into the traditional knife pantheon alongside much older patterns like the barlow or the congress.

The Fatcarbon scales are the same material that is on my Heretic otf. I am not super familar with Jack Wolf knives, but this one looks to be a pretty nice knife.
