The Firminator: A Fall Planting Essential

Another fall planting season has arrived, and it is time to turn soil and sow seeds, tasks that can be accomplished faster, easier, and more efficiently with implements from Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment.

Breaking Ground

Whether breaking new ground, transitioning from summer to fall crops, turning over a fallow field, or anything in between, the Firminator G3 offers versatility for any application. Heavy, 18-inch, notched 9-gauge steel disks provide a wide range of angle and pitch adjustments for the first cut into heavy sod, lightly opening thatch and soil or shifting to fall food plots. The Firminator G3 ATV offers a smaller, more economical option with all the same features for smaller jobs or working in less accessible areas, which are more common for fall hunting plots. The Firminator RT offers an option for situations where tilling is preferable to discing, like technical plots or a cleaner surface finish.

Planting

Next comes planting, where the versatility line of Firminator implements shines. The integrated seeder eliminates the need, cost, and time for changing implements. The innovative, accurate seeding system ensures proper seed spreading, whether planting large seeds is more common for fall plots, small seeds, or a blend of both. The ground-driven system meters out the seed relative to speed and stops the seed from falling when the Firminator stops rolling to eliminate waste.

Finish

Seed-to-soil contact is critical to good seed germination at any time of year, especially in the fall when planting is timed, so that plants reach peak nutrition at the height of hunting season. The Firminator’s integrated cultipacker rolls on the soil to enhance this contact, simultaneously reducing waste by promoting better germination rates and reducing time, cost, and effort associated with purchasing and changing implements for the final pass. The frame weight adjustment also allows for customized cultipacking in various soil conditions.

Whether working with the Firminator G3, the ATV G3, or the Firminator RT, one tool does it all, from breaking ground to the final pack. The only thing Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment cannot do is make it rain.

About Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment

Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment features the Firminator – The Firminator is by far the most versatile piece of equipment in the industry. The operator can choose from a wide range of angle and pitch adjustments to perform many different functions.
