San Antonio Woman Fatally Shoots Partner In Self-Defense

A San Antonio woman fatally shot her partner in self-defense during a domestic dispute. Police are investigating the incident where the 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (3-minute read) — San Antonio police are actively investigating a fatal incident that unfolded on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old man. The shooting took place in a home located on the 1100 block of Boling Brook Drive, near Marbach Road.

The altercation involved a 40-year-old woman and her partner. According to a preliminary police report, the confrontation began when the man allegedly started physically assaulting the woman, a juvenile, and another family member. In an attempt to protect herself and the others, the woman reportedly shot the man.

Officers responded to an emergency call regarding the shooting around 9 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the 45-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) officials are thoroughly investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The initial findings suggest that the woman acted in self-defense, but the investigation is ongoing to determine all the facts and any potential legal implications.

Safety Tip: Always ensure that firearms are stored securely, out of reach of children and unauthorized persons. Familiarize yourself with local firearm laws and consider professional training to handle firearms safely and responsibly.
