Houston Homeowner Fatally Shoots Man in Suspected Home Invasion

HOUSTON, TX (1 minute read) – Early Friday morning, the Houston Police Department was called to the scene of a deadly shooting at the 1400 block of W. Gulf Bank. Arriving at around 12:30 a.m., officers discovered a man fatally shot inside an apartment.

According to HPD, the incident began when the suspect approached the residence and passed two individuals outside without acknowledging them. The individuals questioned his presence and attempted to eject him, escalating to a confrontation. In the heat of the moment, one of the homeowners, fearing for their safety, used their firearm to shoot the man, believing him to be a home invader.
