Suspected Car Thief Shot By Owner, Dies While Trying To Abandon Mission

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — A recent incident resulted in the death of a man suspected of trying to steal a car. This event occurred early in the morning, around 4 a.m., at an apartment complex located on Micron Drive, close to Culebra Road.

According to reports, a resident of the apartment complex confronted a 40-year-old individual who was in the process of taking his vehicle after the owner discovered the suspect inside his car. When the suspect started to drive away, the owner of the vehicle shot at him. The suspect was struck by the gunfire, managed to exit the car, but soon collapsed and died from his injuries a short distance away.

As of now, there has been no decision regarding whether the car owner will be charged. Authorities are continuing to investigate the situation.
