Second $25,000 contribution this cycle matches Silencer Central’s 2024 support and reaffirms its confidence in the PAC heading into Election Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The NSSF’s Protect Liberty Political Action Committee (Protect Liberty PAC) announced today with deep gratitude that Silencer Central, led by founder and CEO Brandon Maddox, has made a second $25,000 contribution for the 2026 election cycle, doubling its commitment to $50,000. The new contribution follows the $25,000 Silencer Central gave in February and brings its 2026 support level with the $50,000 it contributed during the 2024 election cycle.
Silencer Central was among the first in the industry to commit to the 2026 cycle, stepping forward in February while Election Day was still more than eight months away. Its return in the final weeks of the campaign is a renewed affirmation of support for Protect Liberty PAC’s mission to elect candidates who will preserve and protect liberty, freedom and the Constitutional rights of all Americans, especially the Second Amendment.

It means Silencer Central has watched how we put its support to work and wants to see more of it. That kind of sustained trust is the strongest endorsement an organization like ours can receive. Every law-abiding gun owner has a stake in November, and we hope more companies in the firearm, ammunition, hunting, recreational and shooting sports industry will follow Silencer Central’s lead.”

If gun control allies flip Congress in November, they will come after our rights and our industry with everything they have. Since 2005, Brandon Maddox and Silencer Central have worked at the state and federal level to simplify the process of purchasing firearm suppressors. Maddox is also a committed advocate for America’s hunting heritage and conservation, and for the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Earlier this year, alongside NSSF, he testified at the South Dakota State Capitol in favor of suppressor deregulation. After the bill passed unanimously, Governor Rhoden signed it into law at Silencer Central’s Sioux Falls headquarters.
Protect Liberty PAC is a federally registered “super PAC” founded in 2023 by NSSF. Protect Liberty PAC is an independent-expenditure only political committee and can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions from companies in or outside of the industry, so long as they do not have federal contracts. Protect Liberty PAC will expressly advocate for the election or defeat of specific candidates and that advocacy will be completely independent of any candidate or political party.
Contributions to Protect Liberty PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires Protect Liberty PAC to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and the name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Protect Liberty PAC can accept unlimited personal and corporate contributions. However, contributions from foreign nationals, federal contractors, national banks, and federally chartered corporations are prohibited.
