MDT is pleased to announce the DRT, a folding magnesium chassis system built for predator hunting with clip-on thermal and night vision optics. The DRT weighs 3.2lbs and runs a full-length 20 MOA night vision bridge that keeps a clip-on optic aligned with the riflescope.
The chassis body and buttstock are magnesium, with a 6061-T6 aluminum NV bridge and ARCA rail, titanium length of pull pins, clamp and action screws, and a carbon fiber vertical grip. Length of pull adjusts from 12” to 14.25”, with 1.15” of cheekpiece height adjustment. An integrated adjustable friction folder lets the shooter tune its retention, a fold-over bolt design covers the bolt handle for a more compact profile when folded, and the magazine latch is both adjustable and lockable.
The multifunction ARCA rail supports ARCALOCK and RRS Lock tripod and bipod interfaces. An offset Picatinny rail mounts weapon-mounted laser rangefinders and other accessories clear of that interface, and the M-LOK forend and adjustable M-LOK thumbshelf position the rest of the setup. The chassis accepts straight contour barrels up to 1.25” with the included NV bridge spacer kit.
The DRT is built for predator and night hunting with clip-on thermal or night vision, and for NRL Hunter and PRS Sportsman class competitions where weight and rigidity both matter. A low bore axis design limits muzzle rise for faster follow-up shots, and the structurally rigid forend resists the flex that causes point of impact shift under bipod, tripod, or bag pressure.
