¥EN Introduces the Qwik Rig for Fast, Balanced Urchin Presentation

One-piece rear-hook rigging and weighting harness combines KIPA wire technology, balanced performance, and a premium BKK treble hook

GUNTERSVILLE, ALA. — [September 15th, 2026] — ¥EN, the Japanese-inspired plastics and terminal tackle brand imported by Duckett Fishing, introduces the Qwik Rig, a purpose-built system designed to simplify rigging for any urchin-style bait while delivering a stable, natural presentation. The single-piece harness combines a rear treble hook and weighting into a single streamlined solution, helping anglers spend less time assembling tackle and more time fishing effectively.

At the center of the Qwik Rig is an evenly weighted design that encourages an urchin bait to maintain a natural horizontal profile in the water. That balanced posture helps the bait present cleanly during the retrieve or pause, allowing its legs and body to move as intended. For anglers targeting pressured bass, the system offers a more deliberate way to control orientation without overcomplicating the rig. With three different weights offered in each size, the perfect rigging solution is now available.

The Qwik Rig also incorporates ¥EN’s KIPA wire technology, engineered to extend the usable life of an urchin bait by creating a secure connection between the soft plastic and the harness. A BKK 6072-1X premium black nickel treble hook supplies secure hook-ups, while machine-injected lead construction eliminates harsh edges. The result is a clean, consistent harness that simplifies rigging, protects the bait, eliminates added hardware, and prevents bait roll.

Developed in three sizes intended to match popular urchin-style baits, the Qwik Rig gives anglers a straightforward terminal option across a range of bait profiles. Its combination of efficient assembly, centered weighting, and component quality reflects ¥EN’s broader system-based approach: match the terminal tackle to the bait so every part of the presentation works together.
