DENVER (August 28, 2026) – Landon Hall has been appointed the Editor in Chief of the Florida Sportsman brand, “Your Outdoors Authority Since 1969,” and the premier sports brand for anglers, hunters and boaters in the Sunshine State, as announced by Michael Cassidy, Group Publisher at Outdoor Sportsman Group. Hall has been a freelance outdoor writer, photographer and content creator for a variety of regional and national outdoor lifestyle media outlets, and he specializes in saltwater fishing, hunting and coastal living. He has been a regular Contributing Editor to Florida Sportsman magazine.
A lifelong outdoorsman who has fished and hunted since childhood, Hall founded Outdoor Legacy Media where he has focused on telling stories that connect anglers, hunters, guides and conservation-minded outdoors enthusiasts with the traditions that make the sporting lifestyle unique. Hall enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, but he’s especially fond of snapper fishing and pursuing the rich variety of fish species found in offshore waters, and he also enjoys hunting for big game. Hall is particularly adept at constructing in-depth destination, species specific, how-to and gear-related content, which should serve him well as he oversees creation of all content for the respected brand.

Hall’s new responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of Florida Sportsman’s print and digital editorial properties. He is based out of St. Augustine, Florida, where he lives with his wife, Nicole, and son Jackson.
