Sightmark Launches Its First-Ever Prism Optics Family: The Strikon FMP and Strikon VMP

MANSFIELD, TX — Sightmark is pleased to announce the launch of its first family of prismatic riflescopes: the Strikon FMP (Fixed Magnification Prismatic) and the Strikon VMP (Variable Magnification Prismatic). Developed for modern sporting rifles, defensive carbines, hunting platforms, and competition builds, the Strikon prism family represents Sightmark’s entry into a growing optic category and delivers the company’s hallmark commitment to rugged, accessible performance.

Prismatic riflescopes use a glass prism system in place of the traditional erector-tube configuration found in most rifle scopes. The result is a shorter, more compact optical package that delivers edge-to-edge clarity, reduced distortion, and a bright sight-picture without the bulk associated with traditional riflescopes. The Strikon FMP and VMP bring that technology to shooters at a price point and accessibility level consistent with Sightmark’s broader product philosophy.

Strikon FMP 1×18: Fixed Magnification, Uncompromising Readiness

The Strikon FMP 1×18 is a true 1x prismatic sight built for fast-paced shooting where clarity, speed, and durability are non-negotiable. Where reflex and holographic sights depend entirely on powered emitters, the FMP uses an internal glass prism and an etched RTR-1 Rapid Targeting Reticle to deliver a crisp, parallax-free sight picture that remains fully functional even with the battery dead. For law enforcement professionals, competitive shooters, and field users operating in environments where a dead battery cannot mean a dead optic, that distinction carries real weight.

The RTR-1 reticle illuminates in red or green across 12 brightness settings, including 3 levels optimized for night vision use, powered by a single CR2032 battery with a runtime ranging from 100 hours on high to 10,000 hours on low. Shake Awake deactivates the unit after 10 minutes of inactivity and brings it back online at the first hint of movement, while automatic brightness adjustment continuously optimizes illumination based on ambient light conditions. A 3.85” eye relief, 86.5 ft field of view at 100 yards, and a 16.4° angular field of view support the kind of wide, both-eyes-open sight picture that fast target acquisition demands.

Built on the Aimpoint® Micro footprint with a 0.39” riser for a 1.54” centerline height, the FMP ships with multiple screw sets for height customization and features flush adjustment turrets that eliminate snag points for a clean, duty-ready profile. At 6.87 oz with mount, it keeps rifle balance in check without sacrificing the structural integrity shooters expect from a professional-grade optic. The housing is 6061 aluminum, IP67 waterproof, nitrogen-filled, and shock-tested to MIL-STD-810H, with fully multi-coated lenses achieving 85% light transmission for a sharp, high-contrast image in any conditions.

Strikon VMP 1-4×22: Variable Control, Proven Feedback

The Strikon VMP 1-4×22 SFP Fiber Riflescope gives shooters a true 1x sight picture for close-range work alongside 4x magnification for better target identification and more precise shots at distance. As a variable magnification prismatic scope, the VMP covers the full range of engagements most shooters face with a single optic, requiring no swap and no compromise.

The VMP uses a second focal plane CRF-4 MIL fiber-wire reticle with red illumination across 11 brightness settings, including 9 daylight levels and 2 optimized for use with night vision devices. Shake Awake technology deactivates the optic after 10 minutes of inactivity and reactivates it at the first detection of movement, preserving battery life without sacrificing readiness. A CR2032 battery powers the illumination system.

Mounting flexibility is built in through the Aimpoint® Micro footprint, giving users access to a broad ecosystem of compatible mounts, offset red dot options, and height configurations. The included hardware supports four mounting heights: 1.15″, 1.54″, 1.93″, and 2.32″, accommodating a range of rifle builds, cheek welds, and accessory setups. Click adjustments are 1/10 MIL with 23 MIL of windage and elevation travel for precise zeroing.

Shared Strikon DNA: Built to Perform in Any Condition

Both Strikon models are built on 6061 aluminum housings with IP67 waterproof ratings, nitrogen filling for fog resistance, and shockproof construction capable of handling real field use. Fully multi-coated lenses support a bright, clear sight-picture across changing lighting conditions, and both optics are rated for calibers up to .308, covering the most common rifle platforms in use today. Each optic ships with a comprehensive accessories package, including risers, throw levers, mounting hardware, and a turret tool, so shooters can configure and field the optic without additional purchases.
