POMA Announces 2026 Pinnacle Award Winners

The 2026 POMA Pinnacle Award winners were announced during POMA’s Annual Summit at Wild Wings of Oneka in Hugo, Minnesota on Thursday, May 25.

POMA’s Pinnacle Awards are the highest honor in outdoor communication – recognizing excellence in outdoor journalism, photography, broadcasting, magazine production and content creation across traditional and emerging media platforms.

The winners of the 2026 Pinnacle Awards are:

Newspaper/Web:

  • Winner – Tyler Frantz, Determination, Dignity in Dog’s Last Dance
  • Outstanding Achievement – James “Jay” Pinsky, Hunting With Bob One Last Time

Magazine Article:

  • Winner – Ken Perrotte, Something About Sundown
  • Outstanding Achievement – Zach Vucurevich, Making Room for Poults in a Deer-Centric World

Magazine Complete (Digital):

  • Winner – Britney Booth, Hunting Life Magazine – Spring 2025
  • Outstanding Achievement – Trevor J Hubbs, Blacktail Deer Foundation – Spring 2025

Magazine Complete (Print):

  • Winner – Gabriela Zaldumbide, Project Upland Magazine – Summer 2025
