Is there public hunting land near you that could use helping hands to increase access, improve habitat, or other upgrades? Please fill out this quick survey to help us identify potential locations for events this year. We are also looking for volunteers to help make those improvements happen and even help organize local workdays. You can indicate in the survey if you’re willing to pitch in.
Building off the successful series of events from 2025, these volunteer-based, public-land workdays will contribute to our national Public Land Initiative goal of acres improved, which amazingly surpassed 1 million last year! They also allow hunters, wildlife agencies, and other conservation partners to collaborate in improving our public lands. Past projects included efforts like cleaning up litter, removing invasive plant species, creating brush piles, improving wildlife openings and early successional habitat, improving deer forage, and collecting acorns for native reforestation. The possibilities are nearly endless.
As a bonus, these events are a lot of fun! When the workday is done, we socialize while enjoying good food and beverages. You’ll meet and make friends with other conservation-minded hunters who live in your area. Whether you want to suggest a location, volunteer to help, or even work with our staff as an organizer, you fill a critical role in helping to coordinate these events.
Thank you for taking the time to complete our brief survey! If you have any questions, please contact the NDA staff member for your area:
