Rotapoint Systems Launches Crossfix™ Optic Mount: A Breakthrough Solution for Cross-Dominant Shooters

Cross-dominant shooters can now use their dominant hand and eye with the Crossfix™ Optic Mount.

Ashburn, Va. (December 2025) — Rotapoint Systems LLC, designers and manufacturers of advanced optic mounting solutions, proudly announces the release of its Crossfix™ Mount, the industry’s first purpose-built aiming solution engineered specifically to address cross-hand-eye dominance. This innovative solution enables shooters to maintain a natural cheek weld and upright shooting posture while aligning the optic with their dominant eye, without compromising ergonomics, sight picture, or speed of target acquisition.

Cross dominance affects nearly 20 percent of shooters and has traditionally required compromises such as awkward head positioning, closing one eye, or firing with the non-dominant hand. Crossfix offers a completely new approach: shifting the optic to the shooter’s dominant eye while maintaining a comfortable and natural shooting position.

“Crossfix addresses one of the most persistent challenges in marksmanship,” said Dave Sugg, founder of Rotapoint Systems. “For centuries, shooters with cross-dominance have had to adapt themselves to the weapon, equivalent to trying to throw a touchdown pass with the weak hand. Crossfix flips the script. Now the equipment adapts to the shooter, improving comfort, consistency, and ultimately, accurate hits on target.”

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Engineered for Cross Dominance: Achieve proper sight alignment easily and naturally with the dominant hand and eye.
  • Universal Compatibility: Bore-concentric, reversible, with seven Picatinny slots for a wide range of optics, and low profile, weighing only 2.4 ounces.
  • Two Available Heights: Mk1 for shooters who prefer a 1.53” height optic’s cheek weld, or the ¼” taller Mk2.
  • Rugged Construction: CNC-machined in the United States from 7075T651 aerospace-grade aluminum and Type III hardcoat anodized for maximum durability in all environments.
  • Faster Target Acquisition: Enables shooters to acquire the target easily with both eyes open without searching or fumbling, improving accuracy and performance in competitive, tactical, and hunting applications, with the choice of a parallel or converging zero.

Crossfix is available now at http://www.rotapoint.com/crossfix.
