The U.S. Is Unsympathetic To Alleged Abuse Of “Troublemaker” Greta Thunberg

United States ruler Donald Trump is unsympathetic to captured Swedish national Greta Thunberg, dismissing her as a “troublemaker”. There have been allegations that the Israeli military is abusing Thunberg while she’s in their custody.

Israel Intercepts Aid Flotilla Destined for Gaza

The Israeli Navy has intercepted a humanitarian aid flotilla destined for Gaza. Around 50 boats made an attempt to breach Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian enclave. All activists and supplies were seized.

On board was infamous Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. Israel’s Foreign Ministry stated that the activists, including Thunberg, were detained and transferred to an Israeli port. “Greta and her friends are safe and healthy,” the ministry wrote on X. –SHTFPlan

The climate change activist was detained at sea and held in a high-security prison by the Jewish state after a second attempt to sail to Gaza on a humanitarian mission. Thunberg had joined over 400 activists in trying to sail to the blockaded enclave, only to be detained by the Israeli navy on Friday. More than 130 of them were deported to Türkiye over the weekend.

Thunberg was among a group of detainees who were deported to Slovakia and Greece on Monday. Before she was deported, Thunberg reportedly suffered abuse at the hands of Israel, which has denied the allegations. But, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said he was “proud” of the harsh conditions the activists were being held in, according to a report by RT.

Activists Say Greta Thunberg Was Abused In Prison

When asked about the Swedish activist, Trump responded: “She is a troublemaker.”

“She’s no longer into the environment, now she’s into this… She needs to see a doctor. She has an anger management problem,” he told journalists at the Oval Office on Monday.

This is not the first time Trump has accused Thunberg of having an “anger management” problem. In 2019, during his first term, Trump took a jab at the activist for her “anger management problem” after she was named Time’s Person of the Year. Thunberg responded by updating her Twitter (now X) biography to include: “A teenager working on her anger management problem.”

TIME Names Greta Thunberg ‘Person Of The Year’

Trump appears to be brushing off the possible abuse some activists suffered at the hands of Israel. Of course, so far, no solid evidence has surfaced that any abuse took place. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
