First Look: Galco Revenger Holster For S&W K-frame Revolvers

Galco Gunleather is now offering its Masterbilt Revenger OWB premium leather holster to fit 4-inch-barreled, K-frame Smith & Wesson revolvers. The Galco Revenger holster is an outside-the-waistband revolver holster, and because it belongs to Galco’s Masterbilt series, it is constructed from the finest grades of American steerhide leathers available in the United States. In addition to this, Masterbilt holsters are only made by Galco’s most experienced leatherworkers. The Revenger is similar to Galco’s other Masterbilt product, the Thunderclap holster for semi-automatic pistols. The Revenger’s leather materials are conditioned so that the holster is ready to shoot with and wear directly out of the packaging, with no break-in needed.

Leather typically tends to have a “smooth side” and a “rough side” that correspond to the external and internal parts of the animal’s hide. The specific leathers used in the production of Galco Revenger have smooth sides on either side. This means that the internal lining of the holster is “slick” and that smoothness helps the shooter have an unrestricted draw out of the holster. For additional drawing smoothness, Galco also designed the Revenger with a mild forward cant meant to help the shooter’s wrist connect to the revolver’s butt on the draw. The Revenger has built-in belt loops and belt tunnel accommodates gun belts up to 1.5 inches wide. Because Smith & Wesson 4-inch K-frame revolvers may come with adjustable sights (Model 15 or Model 19), the Revenger has a built-in sight tunnel to accommodate these guns’ front sights.

Galco Gunleather’s customers have the option to pick the Revenger holster in either black or tan colors. Retail pricing for this revolver specific OWB premium leather holster starts at $259. In addition to the latest 4-inch K-frame Smith & Wesson holster fits, the Galco Revenger will also accommodate certain Colt and Ruger revolvers.
