Thicker than the competition, these beefy cables feature a heavy-duty ¼” galvanized steel cable, nylon-coated to a 5/16” thickness and rated for 6,000 pounds of force. The cables are thicker than competitor cables and help deter thieves. Designed for universal compatibility, the cables come with a looped end and a stopper button to anchor securely to the lock box. Crafted entirely from American 12-gauge steel, Steelhead HD pistol boxes are 75% to 160% thicker than most competitors who manufacture overseas using 16- to 20-gauge metal. The lock boxes are equipped with oversized ¼” hinges that are staked, welded, and feature an integrated pin guard to resist punch attacks. Steelhead’s hinges offer twice the thickness of most standard hinges. Interior protection includes dual 3/8” foam layers on the bottom to customize firearm fit, and thick, compressible convoluted foam on top to secure items during movement. Original lock boxes feature a textured black powder coat finish paired with a charcoal gray handle.
