Founded in 2010 in Dallas, OTF’s K-12 outdoor education curriculum now serves 1550+ schools in all 50 U.S. states and internationally with more than 160,000 students enrolled annually. OTF’s Outdoor Adventures curriculum can be taught as a P.E. course, local elective or with agricultural science and wildlife management in private and public schools.

“I am honored to be named the Outdoor Tomorrow Foundation’s 2025 Outdoor Adventure Educator of the Year.” Lindsay goes on to detail her ultimate goal,  “I want to leave a lasting legacy with my students by fostering a deep love for nature, encouraging them to engage in outdoor activities, and instilling the importance of conservation education. My hope is that they become lifelong movers, appreciating the outdoors and understanding the value of preserving it for future generations.”

Lindsay has been the Elementary Physical Education Teacher teacher at DeWitt Elementary School for 19 years and teaching from the Outdoors Adventures Curriculum since May of 2021.

“We are so proud to name Lindsay Beaton as the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation’s 2025 Educator of the Year. Lindsay is providing a niche for students not involved in other extracurricular activities where they can learn both practical outdoor skills and an understanding of wildlife conservation,” said OTF’s Director of Education, Scot McClure.
